Dr. Oualid Chelghoum

Dr Chelghoum Oualid is an experienced psychiatrist, recognised for his commitment to caring for patients presenting with complex psychiatric disorders, particularly in the fields of autism, intellectual disabilities, and geriatric psychiatry. With a career spanning more than ten years in the hospital setting, he embodies a medical approach that is at once rigorous, empathetic and resolutely interdisciplinary. ​ Before joining Cabinet Vade, he worked at the Centre Hospitalier Le Vinatier in Lyon, within the university hospital unit ADIS, dedicated to autism and intellectual disabilities. He provided specialist consultations on challenging behaviours and complex developmental disorders, and participated in national multidisciplinary case review meetings (RCP). ​ He has taught in the academic context on ageing in people with developmental disorders, was moderator at the 15th French Congress of Psychiatry, and contributed to several national working groups on the use of melatonin and third-line treatments.
